No one (including me) thinks Russia. Hmm how times change. When I voted they had to beat Greece to stay in the tournament. Now well I'd vote for them.

I've been following (i.e reading) the guardian's coverage of the Euros very happily and have noticed a great bit in the days column. It lists one thing happening, such as todays was Van Basten preparing his team for penalties just in case, and lists another, funnier one which is in a parallel world where England qualified. It says today that McClaren prepares his team for penalty shootout loss to Turkey. However this also brought up intriguing questions for me. Would England have done well in this competition, would they have done as well as Croatia have and would they have beaten Austria!

Your thoughts.

Holland will possibly meet Spain in Semi if Spain beat Italy and Holland beat Russia. That should be a very good game.

1: Crap defending and no leader. Also too many old players,
2: Holland definitely.
3: Possibly. Spain v Holland would be a great final. However I have a feeling Spain won't win.
4: Yes, they are poor and Romania will beat Holland while Italy draw with France.

Now we've all heard the news that Luiz Felipe Scolari has joined Chelsea, we're all starting to think which other manager's have impressed us. So instead of choosing players for the Prem from Euros. How about managers from the Euros. For me I could see ex Premiership players like Slaven Bilic and good managers such as Bennhakker and Hiddink finally coming. Your thoughts.

Just a bit of fun to spice up the tournament. You must have heard about Polish newspapers fun about the Germans. Well if you haven't, here it is.

For me, I'd love to see the Netherlands win it. Van Basten can become the first person to win it as a coach and a player. They have some very good width players (Sneijder, Robben, Kuyt) but they also have great goal poacher in Van Nistelrooy and Huntelaar. I think if they can hold their bottle for a change they could really win it.

Also the Germans i hope will get destroyed today against the Poles.
